  1. Disagree with the whole don't cut the leaves during flower.
    Because of multiple factors.
The plant simply doesn't need all those leaves to perform optimally.

And number two, in a indoor grow, too many leave could be at the expense and detriment of the plant in a very tight places such as grow tents. Powdery mildew, mold, bugs, and blind spots.

The more leaves you have, the more it's going to cost to optimize that environment so those leaves would be beneficial, and for any normal grower you're easily entering into the realm of diminishing returns.

More fans, pricier dehumidifier, stronger lights, CO2 to compensate for the biomass…ect.. is it really worth the cost instead of selective defoliation?

But I'll humbly admit, I'm not a scientist and I could be horribly wrong.

  2. Jeff was very short on his explanation for why it's a bad idea to remove living leaves from your plants. Is there a video in which he delves deeply into that hornet's nest?

  3. There is no perfect weather, ever, even indoors. Plants have evolved outdoors which is what we strive to duplicate. Outdoor weather is not perfect. This makes plants stronger. You gays are gonna make a bunch of pussy plants with ruderalis in it and fuck everything up. Some years will be good and some will be okay so get used to it🤡🌍

  4. Wow… PhD or not, Jeff lowenfels is wrong about defoilation! He is speaking from the outdoor/greenhouse perspective, and I agree that if you have the space, leave the green leave on. But when growing in a confined space, if you want to max out your yeild, you had better remove some fan leaves!

  5. Wow, these guys believe a lot of myths themselves. Also holding hits does get you higher, some smoke is not in the air sacks and instead in the air pathways, also your lungs use passive diffusion so they cannot absorb all THC, its physicly imposible.

  6. Killing it with this kinda knowledge, most stoners honestly don’t know what they’re missing, getting fucked out of their minds when instead they could be growing their minds.

  8. I dont agree w the never defoliate idea…if a leaf is not in proper light because its under another that leaf is a burden to the plant and will lessen the flower if not cut. If the burden leaf that is not receiving light is cut off that equals more energy into making flowers instead of trying to maintain a leaf that cant pull its weight…like people who refuse to get a job burden our national welfare system…lol pardon my bad analogy but i believe it applies

  9. Towards the end of this, i was watching the Live Chat more. Them people were crazy as hell. lol 3 dudes with Ph.D's and still people won't listen. That's amazun. 😀 lol What a time to be alive.

  10. So what i don't get is if the sun (or light hitting the bud doesn't help it get bigger then why don't the bottoms and inside buds develop well, why does defoliation increase yield? Not sarcastic questions. Just trying to understand.
